**Your new role**
Autism SA are seeking an experienced person to conduct various community engagement activities with employers and the neurodivergent community. The position will lead the co-design process to develop a digital resource for an exciting new grant funded project aimed at building employers’ confidence in using Inclusive recruitment practices to employ neurodivergent jobseekers.
The successful applicant will have experience in using inclusive practices with a diverse range of community stakeholders. The applicant will have desired experience in conducting community engagement activities in the employment and/or disability/neurodivergent sectors.
The Autism Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Identify relevant stakeholders to support the co-design and development of the project.
- Use evidence based, community engagement principles to engage various stakeholders, including people with disability
- Link with Autism SA clinicians to produce a range of accessible communication tools and materials to support community engagement
- Plan and implement a range of activities, including community workshops, panels, roundtables and interviews, to understand the communities wants, needs and desires in relation to the project
- Establish National Advisory Group(s) and support members to share their stories, experiences, and desires
- Work with the community, advisory groups and the project team to co-design and produce the project.
- Support recruitment of talent for content production
**What you'll need to succeed**
**Essential**:
- A degree in communications, disability, business, or related discipline with relevant experience or
- Equivalent level of expertise and experience attained through previous appointments.
**Desirable**:
- Experience in Disability Sector and/or Human Resource sector
- Autistic individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
