Job Title - Learning & Devlopment Manager APAC - Job Location - Sydney - Job Type - Business/Professional Services & Support - Expertise - Description The **APAC Learning & Development Manager** is part of our global L&D team, which supports the development of our people to enable high performing careers and opportunities for everyone to thrive. The team works closely with key stakeholders across multiple practice groups and business service functions to deliver high value learning and talent solutions aligned to our People Strategy. The team is committed to the personal, professional and career development of all our people and delivers training and education through innovative talent activities, career milestone programmes and coaching and mentoring opportunities. Located in Sydney and nestled alongside the HR team,**the duration of this contract is for a maximum term period of 12 Months**. The role reports to the Global Head of Learning & Development, with an indirect line to the Head of HR, APAC. **The APAC team** We truly work as a collegiate, collaborative, fun and engaging team. We work flexibly, are always looking for new ideas and we are solutions driven; we've never been ones to "just do it this way because that's how we've always done it". **Key Responsibilities** - Identify short-term training needs and conduct deeper learning needs analysis to support current capability gaps and skills needed for the future - Create and present business cases for change and opportunity, in support of building talent capability and key skills in the region - Influence and drive the learning and talent agenda across APAC, working closely with the L&D managers in other regions - Manage, support and guide the team in APAC, ensuring they are well connected within the region and feel part of the Global team - Design, deliver and manage core skills curriculum programmes and talent programmes (this includes measuring ROI and ensuring programmes are fit for purpose, outcome driven and commercially focused) - Oversee and support the technical legal training / CPD programme in APAC - Act as an internal consultant; providing specialist advice and guidance to Fee Earners and Business Services regarding regional initiatives - Support individual development through coaching and mentoring opportunities, and team development through the delivery of bespoke programmes, team effectiveness workshops and away days. - Create and manage an effective and commercially focused regional budget, in line with the team's global budget. Keeping all relevant stakeholders engaged and regularly updated. **Essential Skills & Experience** - Proven experience in a learning and development/training role, preferably within a partnership/professional services environment and preferably on a global scale - Experience of successfully designing, delivering, scheduling, organising and administrating programmes is essential - A good working knowledge of MS packages and IT proficiency essential - Insights and/or MBTI qualified is desirable (or other psychometric tools) - Coaching accreditation is desirable - Communicates effectively at all levels, both verbally and written especially with senior Partners and Leaders - Persuasive and strong influencing skills - Training delivery expertise - Strong IT skills (including proficiency in learning technology systems) - Team player & Self-motivated - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - Ability to travel and comfortable working in different cultures across our international offices **About Clyde & Co In The APAC Region** Clyde & Co is a leading global law firm, specialising in the sectors that underpin global trade and commercial activity, namely: insurance, transport, construction, energy, trade and commodities.
