**Continuing Full time position available immediately.**

The Research Development Officer works as part of the Research Development Team to plan, manage and monitor the delivery of high-quality research grant support and services for the Arts, Business and Economics (ABLE) Faculty.

Key responsibilities include Faculty grant support and researcher development support; provision of research funding advisory services, providing pre-award grant checking and validation services, coordinating ranking/review activities for Faculty cohorts; contributing to training and development programs relating to funding opportunities and supporting Faculty grant performance reporting.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post award grants matters.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing client centric research grant programs in a complex research focused environment including working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and analysing information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research projects.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight (externally imposed) deadlines.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and sound judgement.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric.
