The **Genome Editing Laboratory** is an exciting, collaborative, and innovative research group working at the forefront of **CRISPR technology, genetic disease therapeutics, mammalian gene drive, neuroscience, and genetically engineered mouse model development**.

We are seeking a **Research Assistant** with expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, and mouse handling to contribute to cutting-edge projects in gene editing and therapeutic development. **About the Role**:
As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in executing and supporting laboratory experiments, working closely with PhD students, postdocs, and senior researchers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- **Molecular Biology Techniques** - Plasmid preparation, molecular cloning, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, Western blot, and IVT.
- **Cell Culture & Flow Cytometry** - Cell culture maintenance, transfection, and FACS analysis.
- **Mouse Handling & Experimental Work** - Intraperitoneal and retro-orbital injections, tissue collection, genotyping, and other in vivo procedures.
- **Laboratory Innovation & Training** - Learning and optimising new techniques, as well as mentoring students in laboratory skills.
- **Laboratory Management** - Maintaining a well-organized lab space, ordering reagents and consumables, and ensuring lab stocks are replenished.

Note that occasional weekend work may be required for tissue culture maintenance.
