The Manager, Investigations will be part of a leadership team responsible for implementing the Authority’s regulatory approach and strategic enforcement priorities and developing a range of appropriate enforcement policies and procedures to achieve the Authority’s strategic goals and to realise the Authority's mission to ensure all employers are fully comply with their obligations under the Act.
**About us**
The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. **About the role**
The team conducts investigations into contraventions of the _Long Service Benefits Portability Act_ and related regulations. Our Manager Investigations will be part of a leadership team responsible for implementing the Authority's regulatory approach and strategic enforcement priorities. Central to this will be the development of unit's technical capability to support the regulatory program and other Authority wide initiatives and delivery regulatory outcomes.
**About you**
To become a critical member of this newly established team, you will have well developed forensic investigation and risk management analysis skills that include,
- Managing appropriate investigation file load.
- Effectively supervision and leadership skills, to guide and develop direct reports.
- Supporting the Senior Manager, Investigations and Enforcement to implement the Authority's regulatory approach and framework.
- Developing relevant policies, procedures and business plans within the work area.
- Management in the triaging and prioritisation of incoming information and evidence related to potential investigations.
- Developing and maintaining reporting of key metrics and drafting reports.
- Ensuring an effective working relationship with internal stakeholders to achieve objectives and adopt a solutions and risk-based mindset to overcome barriers.
- Play a key role in developing OHS policies and procedures and ensure investigations are planned and implemented in compliance with OHS legislation
