We're growing - and looking for a motivated, hands-on **Assistant Manager**to help lead our team and deliver an exceptional customer experience every day.

**About the Role**:
As the **Assistant Manage**r at Cedar Bakery, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day success of our store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help oversee all aspects of the bakery’s operations — from front-of-house customer service to behind-the-scenes efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for both customers and team members.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently throughout each shift. This includes supervising staff, supporting team development, and ensuring every customer receives warm, friendly, and prompt service. You'll be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and product presentation.

As a leader, you'll serve as a role model for the team — fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace where staff feel supported and motivated to do their best. Your ability to lead by example, solve problems on the fly, and maintain a calm presence during busy periods will be essential to the role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Ensure high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service
- Assist with inventory management and stock ordering
- Train and mentor team members
- Step in to resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care
- Help drive a positive, team-focused work environment
- Managing tills and daily cash reconciliation
- Communicating with suppliers and assisting with inventory control

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or bakery/café management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for food, service, and community
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
