We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced **Desktop Support Officer** who has a strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills to join Invetech.
**What you will deliver**
As a **Desktop Support Officer**, you will have a high-level attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to hit the ground running. In addition, you will:
- Perform allocated day-to-day support tasks.
- Maintain network accounts for associates.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of all IT equipment.
- Rectify general PC, printer and associated general network faults.
- Support IT infrastructure improvement activities.
- Update relevant desktop documentation in a timely manner to ensure the correct procedures are followed.
- Software licenses management.
**What you will bring**
You will have appropriate formal IT Qualifications and 8 years’ experience supporting a primarily Windows environment with over 200 users. In addition, you will bring:
- Dell computer hardware expertise - Latitude laptop, Mobile Precision Workstation, Optiplex Desktop and Precision Workstation.
- Lenovo hardware expertise - T14/P15 Laptop.
- General computer hardware expertise.
- High level Windows desktop troubleshooting - Windows 10 and 7 Pro and Enterprise.
- PC management including software deployment and patch management using ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
- File restore using Windows Previous Versions and Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery for Virtualised Environments.
- Familiarity with fundamental network technologies - Ethernet, TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP etc.
- Microsoft Office 365 Application deployment, support and configuration with expertise in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Apple iPhone, iPad and Android mobile device expertise.
- Telstra mobile account management including reporting using T-Analyst.
- Avaya Aura Telephone system general support including 9608G handset and B189 conference phone hardware expertise.
- Knowledge of a business system similar to the Fortive Business System.
- PC vulnerability detection and reporting using Rapid7 Nexpose and Insight Agent.
- Expertise in deploying and troubleshooting Trend Micro OfficeScan 11.
- Expertise in deploying and troubleshooting Carbon Black Response Sensor and Carbon Black Cloud Sensor.
- Jira Server account management.
- Jama Contour Server account management.
- Microsoft SharePoint management and configuration - site creation, user account management and security permissions.
- Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client installation and troubleshooting.
- RSA SecurID account and Radius profile management.
- Druva InSync deployment and management.
- Trend Micro Full Disk Encryption deployment and management.
- Zoom Meetings deployment (PC and mobile), account management, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Polycom RealPresence Group 310 videoconferencing hardware support and configuration including integration with Zoom Meetings.
- Lenovo Thinksmart Hub Microsoft Teams Room expertise.
- General meeting room hardware installation, support, usage and configuration including Dell projectors, TV mounting, webcams and Jabra speakerphones.
- Zscaler ZApp deployment.
- SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM deployment, support, management and configuration.
- Management of helpdesk tickets using Spiceworks Helpdesk and ServiceNow.
- Virtual Server management using VMware VCenter 7.
- Deployment and support of Siemens NX 10 and 12.
- Industry specific software support knowledge. I.e.CAD, PRONTO, Visual Studio
- Knowledge of VMware or equivalent virtualization technologies
- Experience in remotely supporting multiple international sites
