The Digital Media Research Centre is seeking
a motivated and entrepreneurial person to be
responsible for its communication activities,
events and day-to-day operations**.**

The Centre Coordinator duties span event
organisation, internal and external
communication and coordination of Centre
activities, administration in relation to Human
Resources and finances, and maintaining the
Centre's website and social media accounts.

effective interpersonal and planning skills to
ensure effective team operations. An important
component of the role is to support Centre
researchers. This position works within broad
direction often with mínimal supervision, and
will require the ability to work independently,

The position will work collaboratively with the
Centre Director, Centre Manager and research
program leaders as well as professional and
academic staff within the Faculty, other
Divisions and Faculties across QUT.

This position reports to the Centre Manager for
supervision, workload management and for
Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Actively work with the Centre Director and

Centre Manager to develop and implement
the Centre’s communication activities
across the Centre website and online
presence. This includes production of digital
content as well as liaising with QUT
Marketing and Communication regarding
the production of promotional materials for
external publication.
- Coordinate the Centre's events and

external profiling activities to promote the
Centre including workshops, symposia,
conferences and international research
visits.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the

Centre, including executive support to the
Centre Director on relevant matters, and
secretariat support for various Centre
committees including the Centre Executive
Committee.
- Coordinate and monitor Engagement and

Impact activities undertaken by researchers
within the Centre.
- Coordinate the purchasing and receipting of

research-related items, and payment of
contractors, monitor and report on
expenditure for the projects, manage
financial processes associated with
purchasing with QUT Finance and HR.
- Support the Centre Director and Centre

Manager to prepare reports and
submissions including communications
plan, annual reports, and periodic reports to
fulfil the Centre’s governance requirements.
- Compliance with health and safety policies,

procedures, hazard reporting and safe work
practices.

To ensure job flexibility the successful
- appointee may be required to:
- perform any other duties as nominated by

the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in

consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses

**Type of appointment**
This appointment will be offered on a fixed
- term, full-time basis for one year.

**Location**
Kelvin Grove campus.

Selection Criteria
1. Education and training equivalent to

completion of a relevant degree with
subsequent relevant work experience.

2. Highly developed written and digital
communication skills, with experience of
planning and publishing content for web
and social media.

3. Experience in event management, external
engagement and demonstrated high-level
social media management skills.

4. Demonstrated capacity to connect and
collaborate with a diverse range of internal
and external stakeholders at different
organisational levels, including experience
supporting researchers and research
related activities.

5. High-level administrative skills with a
proven ability to effectively plan and
prioritise tasks with limited direction.

**Remuneration and Benefits**
- The classification for this position is Higher
- Education Worker Level 6 (HEW6) which has
- an annual remuneration range of $96,955 to
- $104,981 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual
- salary range of $81,928 to $88,710 pa, 17%
- superannuation, and leave loading.
