Construction Manager

**The Client**

Alcoa of Australia are a global industry leader in bauxite, alumina and aluminium products. IMS Workforce (IMSW) provides technical services to Alcoa with our teams embedded across all Alcoa operations in Western Australia.

**The Role - Construction Manager - Water Treatment Plant**

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a proven track record of delivering on time construction solutions for a major water treatment plant, encompassing cabling and pipelines.

The Construction Manager has overall accountability for the HSE, Cost, Schedule and Quality of the Construction execution packages, including inspections, conformance and compliance testing, handover to operations for assets installed by the Capital Projects program.

Develop construction documentation and manage and coordinate the construction effort for all works within Alcoa Capital Projects.

**About You**:
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience at Construction Manager level & successfully delivering major projects.
- Mechanical, Electrical, Trade or Civil background
- Experience with poly and steel piping installation and associated earthworks
- Knowledge in working around substations and transformers
- Client-side experience
- Previous experience leading large water treatment plants (desirable)
- Ideally experience with treatment plant construction
- A resolute commitment to delivering your project safely.
- High-level Problem-Solving Ability

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Management of the owner’s construction team and Contractors on site regrading EHS&T requirements, Construction Priorities, Planning, Reporting and Documentation of Construction activities, to ensure delivery of ‘Best Practice’ project delivery.
- Drives Budget and Schedule and the overall delivery of the construction packages.
- Overseeing all construction operations on site, leading the site works through its various stages from commencement to commissioning and handover.
- Communication of Alcoa’s requirements to all team members and Contractors engaged in delivery of Construction works across the project.
- Ensuring the achievement of Site Safety and Environmental objectives are achieved.
- Holds an appointed Statutory Position where required.
- Review site plans to ensure relevance to the project as construction work is progressed through to completion.
- Understand and assess potential project risks and ensure mitigation measures are adequate and in place.
- Ensuring all (Contractors) works are completed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of their contract.
- Accountable for the construction and handover of assets from the Project Team to the Operations Centre.
- Production of handover documentation and receipt of sign-off from the Operations Centre for acceptance of the assets.
