This successful food business, based in Sydney's CBD, supplies a diverse range of food products to loyal customers Australia-wide. They seek to be a business of choice by providing high-quality and innovative products and nurturing an environment where their employees thrive. An opportunity has been created for a Category Manager to manage the end-to-end procurement of food and packaging.

**The Role**
- As the Category Manager (Direct) you will report to the Head of procurement and be responsible for the procurement of key categories with $100m + spend
- You will deliver sustained value and competitive advantage for the business by working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Leading sourcing strategies for the designated categories, you will deliver cost savings and efficiency improvements across the ingredients and indirect portfolios.
- You will closely manage and collaborate with new and existing suppliers to ensure optimum service levels and cost efficiencies are consistently achieved.
- The role includes an element of data management as you effortlessly maintain master data price files, cost systems and payment terms.

**Your Background**
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to make strong decisions and influence outcomes.
- An ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal stakeholders and nurture suppliers and develop collaborative relationships.
- The ability to effectively manage and lead through change.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Your well developed compliance and regulation experience, specifically within the food industry, will ensure you slip into this strategic role with ease.
