What you can expect:

- Casual pay rate of $41.75 per hour plus penalties
- 10-12 hour day or night shift
- Travel Allowance provided to those eligible
- Collaborative and inclusive on-site culture
- Opportunity for ongoing permanent work and MAJOR Project work (18-36 months duration)

What you will need:

- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
- Recent work experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a Shutdown capacity
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Working at Heights and Confined Space (desirable but not essential)

By joining our Shutdown crew, you are also registered to be part of future upcoming projects right across Australia, as well as hearing about permanent opportunities first. If you are looking for an ongoing role locally in Wollongong, this could be a good stepping stone to do so. We have ongoing permanent work for Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters.

For more than 20 years, Ventia has had a longstanding relationship with BlueScope in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, providing plant maintenance, engineering and project services and a skilled workforce for numerous BlueScope projects, as well as fabrication facilities. We have recently renewed our contract with BlueScope for maintenance services with the addition of fire services at BlueScope's Port Kembla Steel Works.
