This Job Involves
- Managing the 14 permanent markets and 2-3 festival type markets we do every week.
- Review and update weekly market order based on weather, holidays and other variables
- Organise market kits and equipment, ensuring it is clean and fit for purpose
- Scheduling our 3 vans with drivers (including yourself) and correct equipment for its market run
- Doing up monthly market staff roster and updating as required
- Organising festival type markets to ensure we do at least 10 per month
- Scheduling these events ensuring we have available bakery capacity, staff and logistics to do them
- Attending and doing 2/3 per week, this involves collecting the stock from the bakery, delivering to a market then going on to another market to do yourself. While these days can be long they are varied and enjoyable to the right person.

Skills and Experience:

- Experience working in retail, rostering and managing staff, stock control and retail sales.
- Strong customer service abilities
- Licensed to drive, and have the ability to load and unload vans, this can be quite heavy work.
- Good leadership and problem solving skills, markets are a fluid environment, issues around weather, staff and food inspections need to be dealt with occasionally.
- Familiarity with farmers markets.

**This is a hands on job for a small business that involves lots of doing as well as managing. **The working week is C.40 Hours, over 4 days, Wednesday - Saturday, some Sunday work will be necessary for additional pay.
