**Our Opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is based at our Lidcombe site.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical maintenance resources including, covering plant and equipment repairs, maintenance and installations.

Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Direct responsibility for supervision of all Lactalis trades employees and contractors reporting to this role, including but not limited to rostering, timesheets, performance management, and training.
- Ensure completion of planned and unplanned works as required to ensure reliable operation of all areas of the factory, ensuring minimum plant down time.
- Provide technical support and oversight of day to day maintenance operations to ensure timely and accurate maintenance response.
- Ensure Maintenance activities are carried out within the allocated maintenance budget.
- Ensure that an adequate stock of mechanical spares are kept on site to meet reasonable requirements.
- Provide after-hours support to site as required to ensure continued operation (on a roster basis).
- Proactively focus on continuous improvement in Safety, Quality and Efficiency by participating in site project work, either at site level or Capex level.
- Provide effective communication within the maintenance department and with all other departments.
- Mentoring of direct reports to ensure continued development of people and skills.
- Continuously develop personal technical and management skills.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant standards.
- Complete all tasks and duties as reasonably requested by management.
- Pro-actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.
