The Macquarie School of Education is looking to appoint to an enterprising, engaging and innovative Academic with specialist knowledge of STEM and Digital Technologies in the Continuing, Full-Time position of Associate Lecturer, Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
THE ROLE
The successful applicant will be expected to contribution to research, develop, teach and convene units in STEM and Digital Technology at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will also be expected to engage with relevant stakeholders in the community, government and industry, including through externally-funded grant projects, and make an active contribution to the administration of the School, Faculty and University.

ABOUT YOU
You will be fascinated by how children best learn integrated Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, with particular expertise in the Technologies area. Based on your practical experiences and background studies, you will have deep insights into STEM and Technologies teaching that you can pass onto pre-service and in-service teachers. You will be enthusiastic about pursuing a research program that helps to advance learning and teaching in the STEM and Technologies area. You will enjoy working in a team, but also have a track record that demonstrates independent enterprise. If you are an excellent communicator with a proactive nature, flexible, able to work in teams and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills, then this is a role you will thrive in and a School you will enjoy working with.
Salary Package:
Annual Full-time base salary for the level of appointment, not including the additional 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading:
- Associate Lecturer, Level A, from $77, 697 - $104, 622 p.a- Lecturer, Level B, from $110, 274 - $130, 472 p.a.- Senior Lecturer, Level C, from $134, 645 - $154, 843 p.a.

Selection Criteria for Associate Lecturer (Level A) Applicants:
- Postgraduate studies in Education with a desire to pursue Higher Degree Research (or partial completion of Higher Degree Research)- Extensive experience in STEM / Technologies teaching at a primary and/or secondary school level- Demonstrated capacity to provide high quality teaching for pre-service teachers or high-quality professional learning for in-service teachers- Track-record of making positive contributions, or capacity to contribute, to administration in a University or professional setting- Record of enhancing, or capacity to enhance, institutional reputation through engagement with relevant external stakeholders- Adaptability, flexibility, resilience, and team-work capabilities
Selection Criteria for Lecturer (Level B) Applicants:
- PhD in the field of STEM/Technologies Education, or related area- Extensive experience in STEM / Technologies teaching at a school and/or University level- Track record of high quality research/scholarship, which may be evidenced by publications and/or success in attracting research support- Demonstrated success in teaching STEM/Technologies at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level including the ability to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning- Demonstrated capacity for the supervision higher degree research students- Track-record of making positive contributions, or capacity to contribute, to administration in a Unive
