Campus Life is currently seeking Casual Educators to join the Macquarie University Junior Science Academy (JSA) team.
Reporting to the JSA Coordinator, you will draw on your experience working with children to deliver STEAM-based lesson plans to school children in our hands-on, interactive programs. These include both our holiday primary school programs (run during the school holidays for primary students, on site at Macquarie University), and our high school and primary school programs (delivered on-site and in schools around Sydney to deliver programs as incursions). Based on availability and experience, you may be involved in delivering primary school holiday programs, school program incursions, or a mixture of both.
Educators are responsible for effectively supervising children and managing student behaviour to maintain a clean and safe environment. Essential to the role is the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and other stakeholders. Educators will also provide administrative assistance to the JSA Coordinator as required. At Campus Life, you will benefit from being part of a dynamic and committed team. You will also positively impact the lives of students, staff and the wider community and effect change across a broad range of programs, initiatives and ways of working.

ABOUT YOU
You have a customer-centric mindset combined with the ability to work independently. You are a critical thinker and creative problem solver who can adapt to changing environments and variable student and family needs. You demonstrate initiative and are driven to achieve excellence in the workplace. You also share our organisational values of Courage, Agility, Rigour, Empowerment, Support (CARES), and commit to these being visible in your actions and words.
In addition, you will meet the following key selection criteria:
