**The Opportunity**

In the role of Technical Lead for HV Substations, you will be accountable for providing technical leadership and direction to project teams. Your responsibilities also include enhancing the technical skills of the electrical team through support and training, particularly in the field of HV grid substation design,

You will operate under the general guidance of the National Electrical Lead, serving as the primary contact for HV substations and network connections technical matters encompassing design, scoping, budgeting, and project oversight from feasibility to detailed design phases.

As the Technical Lead you will need to demonstrate extensive experience in the design and management of HV grid substations and HV network connection projects in Australia. Managing, coordinating, and administering engineering, procurement; planning of construction, construction phase support, commissioning, and project closeout.

**The Key Technical and Management Skill for this role**:

- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in HV substations and utility grid connections.
- Extensive experience in relevant infrastructure project development and delivery.
- Subject Matter Expert in HV Grid Substations.
- Leadership experience in leading and managing design and development teams.
- Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation highly regarded.
- Well-connected in the Utilities and REZ space with a strong professional network.
- Experience with building and maintaining strong relationships with key stake holders to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Experience with developing relationships, partners, and government entities in new markets.
- Experience leveraging technical knowledge to support delivery of Expression of Interest and Request for Tender.
