Exciting opportunity for an experience HR admin to join a state government
**Your new company**
A State Government Department is looking for an HR administration assistant to join their team. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis.
**Your new role**
As an experienced HR administration assistant your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:
- Assists the People and Culture team with general administrative support and special projects and research on a broad range of Human Resource practices.
- Coordinates and supports recruitment activities across the Commission in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, relevant legislation, and government policy.
- Reports on recruitment data and diversity targets
Assist the HR coordinator with onboarding and induction processes
- Works closely with Supervisors, Managers and Directors to ensure the delivery of quality HR services.
- Develops and maintains an up-to-date knowledge and awareness of relevant HR and employee development related issues and trends.
- Responds to general HR queries from employees and managers.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with relevant staff members and stakeholders (including Health Support Services, Public Sector Commission, and the Office of Public Sector Standards Commissioner) to keep abreast with contemporary practices.
- Provides support to the People and Culture Team.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Experience in the delivery of a broad range of Human Resource functions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels.
- Ability to maintain data accurately and use relevant databases for managing Human Resource Information Management Systems.
- Demonstrate organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrate understanding of policies, awards and legislation related to human resource principles and practices.
