Gis Analyst

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Utilities team, based in either Sydney or Brisbane with projects across the country. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting spatial data to support the design and construction of the project. You will work closely with the design and construction teams to ensure that spatial data is utilized effectively to optimize the design, construction, and delivery of the project.

**What will a day in this role look like**:

- Analyze, interpret, and output spatial data and derived products to support the project.
- Produce high standard cartographic outputs.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to optimize data flows, design, and delivery.
- Maintain core GIS standards and processes including metadata, single-point-of-truth, and data flow controls.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and systems.
- Develop and maintain an accurate and current online presence.
- Provide training and support to users of the GIS as required.

**What are we looking for you to bring to the team**:

- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in GIS analysis.
- Strong knowledge of GIS software and databases and previous experience in a similar role on large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of surveying and GPS technology.
- Environmental data experience desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to visit sites for setup and training
