**Geospatial Analyst - SFIA 4**

The Geospatial Analyst is a key contributor to GIS functions, providing expert advice and support to optimise the use of geospatial data. They lead location-based analytics, coordinate with stakeholders, identify GIS requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, recommend best practices, assist in daily operations, provide technical advice on spatial data, and liaise with IT Operations for software maintenance and upgrades.

**Primary Technologies**:

- Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) (e.g., Teradata, Informatica, Hadoop)
- SQL
- GIS analysis tools
- XML schema design
- Data management principles

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead location-based analytics functions in Health in collaboration with the Analytics Branch.
- Coordinate and liaise with key geospatial stakeholders across the Department.
- Identify GIS requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend best practice solutions.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting for geospatial-related matters arising in the EDW domain.
- Assist in day-to-day operations of GIS functions, including troubleshooting and resolution of incidents.
- Provide support and technical advice on geospatial analysis techniques and tools.
- Manage Health's MyEsri/IQ Office account and associated online training services.
- Prepare documentation such as design specifications, user guides, and handover documentation.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and associated risks.
