Junior Technician

We are currently going through a large change as an organisation due to the technology our team has recently developed which is now positioning us as a serious competitor in the parking industry.

Our organisation is going through rapid growth, and DIVVY’s Operations team requires the assistance of a quick-learning Junior Technician who can assist the
Field Service Technician Manager with installations, maintenance works and call outs to repair DIVVY hardware.

You will report to the Field Service Technician Manager and will be required to work in our workshop and office located in Haymarket and Pyrmont.

As the Junior Technician, DIVVY’s Field Service Technician Manager will teach you wiring, networking and hardware knowledge, as well as train you to complete installations and repairs with other trades such as electricians, builders, painters, signage contractors etc. You will soon be responsible for the onboarding/offboarding of hardware at clients’ properties, building housings for our equipment, and working on maintenance plans that include tasks such as network upgrades, software upgrades etc.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Working with the Administration Officer on stock takes and stock ordering
- Liaising with DIVVY Client’s and signage contractors to quote and install carpark signage
- Create Installation schedules with DIVVY’s Field Service Technician Manager and external contractors
- Produce reports for DIVVY Client’s with reported hardware faults and solutions
- Assist electricians and other contractors when on site to guide them through trouble-shooting processes
- Liaise with DIVVY’s Client Success Representatives to report on call outs and maintenance plans
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, internal and external stakeholders, and DIVVY clients
- Building stands and other housings for our devices for new installations
- Software upgrades which may require onsite visits
- Visiting car parks and corporate building where equipment is proposed to be installed to create scope of works for DIVVY Operations teams
- Interstate travel may be required which can be done by car or air
- Reviewing car park plans and assisting with creating quotations and walkthrough document with the Business Development team
- Working with Facilities and Building Managers at various buildings to ensure insurances, SWMS and work plans are prepared in advance of works taking place
- Assisting the DIVVY Support and Client Success teams when the Field

Service Technician Manager is not available

Our Junior Technician thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the requirement for issues to be resolved quickly and efficiently for our clients. They take initiative and proactively perform tasks without having to be asked. We’re looking for someone who wants to be a part of DIVVY’s growth journey and who can assist us in ensuring we’re offering the best service to our customers and clients. This position has a great opportunity for career progression through various technician roles.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role within access control or the trades industry. A trades qualification would be highly favourable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening, analysing, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- A motivation to learn about technology, networking, and data
- An Australian drivers license to drive a DIVVY vehicle
- Experience using tools of trade

DIVVY’s office is based in Haymarket and our workshop is based in Pyrmont. You will be required to work between the two.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
