**Description**:
Collar Group are seeking a Fabrication Manager for our Engineering client based in South Australia with the availability to travel to their Roxby Downs operations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager you will oversee comprehensive fabrication operations spanning all aspects of the company, including workshop fabrication and project-based work. Your role will encompass end-to-end management, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional outcomes across the board.

**Duties**:

- Tendering all fabrication works from enquiry through to submission clearly outlining inclusions and exclusions.
- Ensure project estimate aligns with clients and SA Engineering’s QA/QC requirements.
- Manage fabrication activities, including estimating, ordering of materials, planning, scheduling, budget and resource allocation, to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure adequate resources available to meet workload pipeline and project due dates.
- Performance management of fabrication team
- Proven experience and tendency to want to follow systems and processes and contribute to their development and improvement.
- The ability to forge strong client relations and manage them positively.
- Excellent people skills and ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Leading the fabrication team from the front, openly demonstrating, and embracing all company procedures, protocols and standards - including all administration and reporting requirements.
- Manage and report on Monthly KPI’s
- Monitor quality and oversee compliance of fabrication department.
- Management of the fabrication team and any sub-contractors in terms of safety, schedule, productivity and quality to meet company and industry standards.
- Competent in Microsoft office and experienced in using a cloud-based Job Management System
- Demonstrated experience within a contracting environment.
- Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment.

**About you**:

- You'll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- You will work collaboratively with Company Directors, Project Managers, Supervisors, Business Development Manager, Project staff, QA Supervisors and other team members within the organisation.
- Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, resources, and equipment to meet project requirements.
- You will hold Mechanical Engineering degree / diploma or Metal trade qualifications with particular attention to fabrication.
- Certificate 4 in Frontline management highly desirable
- It is essential that you are able to read and clearly interpret detailed scope of works and design & fabrication drawings.
- Proven experience meeting strict project deadlines is essential.
- Capable of working with computer systems & Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise with major clients and stakeholders.
- Highest commitment to health and safety and confident in having safety discussions with all stakeholders.
