$78,143 - $83,700 (plus Super) - Melbourne CBD - VIC **The Role** The APS 5 Data Management Officer provides a key role in the creation, implementation and management of new/existing sequel queries to extract a complex array of data from a number of relational databases in order to enable Defence personnel to monitor contractual performance. Duties include but are not limited to, one or more of the following: provide detailed system advice and guidance to Supply Chain Branch, Local Site Administrators and stakeholders. Provide warehousing, distribution, maintenance and stock management support including monitoring and overseeing business processes and activities. Develop and administer data mining and extraction methodologies. Provide advice on performance tasking data within core commercial contracts for inclusion in high level reporting. Monitor and support the proper usage of Defence data assets by internal/external stakeholders. **About our Team** The Contract Performance Team oversees an array of data mining activities across several commercial contracts within Supply Chain Branch (SCB) to monitor and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This information is then modeled in order to provide internal/external stakeholders with a reporting framework to ensure performance figures meet set expectations. The team is comprised of an EL 1, an APS 6 and an ADF member. - Write/edit sequel queries to address ad-hoc request by internal/external stakeholders. - Merge information from different IT systems into a single software platform. - Be a team player. - Have to ability to think "outside the box" - Quickly adapt to change. - Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
