Trainer & Assessor - Business, Ict and Commercial

Milestones International College is a registered training organisation delivering premium quality training in a range of fields. Milestones is currently seeking trainers and assessors to join our team in delivering and assessing the following programs:

- ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology
- ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology
- ICT50120 Diploma of Information Technology
- BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business
- BSB50120 Diploma of Business
- BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business
- SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- SIT40521 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management

**About the role**

Milestone's is currently seeking trainers for afternoon and evening sessions from Term 3. As an integral part of a busy and passionate team, your responsibilities will include:

- Participate in student enrolment and induction;
- Conduct language, learning, and numeracy assessments;
- Conduct training in accordance with student individual needs;
- Conduct assessment in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence;
- Monitor student’s progress and report support needs to RTO team;
- Provide suggestions for improvement as they arise;
- Raise any critical issues with the RTO team immediately;
- Assistance with student resource development;
- Participation in Milestones training and assessment validation sessions;
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of student support, training, and assessment.

**Selection criteria**
- Qualifications_

All trainer/assessors must hold one of:

- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

and:

- a vocational qualification at the level or higher qualification as applied for
- Experience_:

- Continued/recent work experience in both industry and competency based training and assessment in Australia.
- Professional Development _

Evidence of professional undertaken in the last 12 months in relation to:

- Industry based
- Vocational Education and Training

Professional development may include attendance at conferences, training sessions, networking meetings, participating in nationally recognized training, reading articles and discussion papers, subscriptions to e-newsletters and magazines.

Skills and knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong and recent industry experience including a sound knowledge of current industry workplace practices;
- Training and assessment skills;
- Thorough knowledge of the ICT training package, BSB training package, SIT training package & other packages as required;
- Sound report-writing skills;
- A strong student focus
- Commitment to quality education, classroom-based delivery with work placement training
- Strong team skills and a commitment to working to develop and support a team-based learning culture.
- Up to date CV showing:

- All relevant qualifications and experience
- A description of relevant professional development undertaken in the last 12 months
- A list of units of competency held or transcripts showing these

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $200.00 - $300.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
