About the role
We are looking for a Secretariat Consultant to join our Company Secretarial team based in Sydney. This is a full-time position being offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to cover parental leave.
Within our Mergers & Acquisitions practice, the Company Secretarial team assist with foreign and Australian based company incorporations, various ASIC lodgements, process agent appointments and general queries relating to the legal and financial obligations of Australian entities.
Tasks include:
- Overseeing the incorporation of Australian and Foreign companies with ASIC
- Attending to registration, renewal, and deregistration of business names and drafting necessary documentation for ASIC
- Managing company statements, including solvency resolutions, lodge financial statements with ASIC, and oversee board/officer changes
- Assisting with share allocations and transfers, drafting various resolutions, maintaining statutory registers, minute books, and document filing systems
- Handling the lodgement of ASIC forms through the ASIC portal or CAS360
Your role bridges regulatory oversight, document management, and communication skills.
About you

- Experience with the registration of Australian companies and foreign companies with ASIC, including drafting of all required documentation and lodgment of ASIC notices
- Experience with drafting of resolutions and attending to ASIC lodgements (using CAS 360 and ASIC online platforms)
- Updating of company statutory registers
- Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASIC practices
- Excellent technical skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- High level verbal and written communication skills
