About the team

Our IT Planning & Performance Management team drives strategic planning, governance, and performance reporting across the IT department. We support the department's strategic objectives by enhancing internal governance frameworks, business improvement activity and collaborative problem-solving.

About the role

We’re seeking a senior governance specialist who thrives in a dynamic, consultative environment and is passionate about strengthening governance practices. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating governance forums, uplifting policy and process maturity, and leading and contributing to executive-level papers, reporting packs, and presentations.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate key governance forums and committees, providing high-quality secretariat support including agenda setting, minute-taking, and action tracking
- Contribute to executive-level papers, reporting packs, and presentations
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure governance processes are understood and embedded
- Support strategic planning and performance reporting activities
- Drive continuous improvement in governance practices and committee operations
- Ensure alignment with broader departmental governance and compliance requirements

About you
- Excellent communication skills, with experience coordinating and authoring papers and presentations for executive and board level consumption
- Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of governance and policy frameworks
- Exceptional organisational and coordination skills
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accountability
