**The Role**
The Safety Officer will advocate safe work practices across all levels of the business with the primary function of embedding and maintaining CE Group’s health, safety environment, and quality compliance systems, practices, and procedures adhering to legal and industry regulatory obligations.

This role will suit someone who has a genuine passion for safety and wants to play a role in helping develop a culture of HSEQ ownership, awareness, and leadership across projects.

**The Position**:

- Drive the safety and compliance culture through the development of key relationships with both site and office personnel
- Support construction projects in every facet of HSEQ throughout the operational project life cycle
- Conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with safety practices, and subsequent reporting
- Actively present Ensure all onsite safety procedures are communicated and adopted by all working personnel including site visits and toolbox talks
- Arrange, facilitate, and assist external audit activity toward the maintenance of third-party accreditations
- Complete incident investigations, executive closeouts, and associated reporting requirements
- Provide guidance and support to all areas of the construction operations in the field of Workplace Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality.

This role will require the applicant to travel to work sites in and around the operational region, which may include international travel.

**Why we should hire you**:

- You hold a relevant qualification in Workplace Health and Safety
- You may hold a qualification in Mental Health First Aid
- You understand what it means to work in a construction environment
- You have knowledge of the Electrical industry in either qualification or experience
- You possess strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Legislation
- You demonstrate effective communication skills;
- You have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products and are comfortable with new technology.
