**What are we looking for?**

Slater and Gordon's national public liability team is the largest and most renowned in the country. We are seeking an up and coming Lawyer to join our national public liability team and help lead continued growth in our QLD practice. This role will be based in our Brisbane CBD office (with brand new office space in May 2025). We also offer flexibility to work between office and home.

This is a role for a highly technical lawyer who has some experience in public liability (either plaintiff or defendant). Reporting to a Practice Leader in Brisbane, you will be supported by a team of lawyers and support staff.

This rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive, passionate and results driven lawyer. You will be working with one of our most experienced and respected practice groups nationally which will see you working collaboratively across a range of types of legal work.

Our public liability practice handles a wide range of cases. We assist clients with injuries incurred that resulted from slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces); dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; defective products (or services); Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training). Due to Slater and Gordon's long history, reputation and brand awareness, the assistance of our public liability team is regularly sought after in catastrophic accidents.

In addition to taking on a wide range of high value and challenging cases, this role will also see you manage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiating and building new networks.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a QLD public liability practice at Slater and Gordon. Ensuring that our clients' cases are investigated, progressed and settled in a timely manner, and that we achieve the best outcomes possible for our clients.
- Continually exploring new opportunities for the practice and developing new business opportunities
- Maintaining strong client relationships and demonstrating strong client care behaviours
- Ongoing training and development in your role

**What will you bring?**

- Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury, in particular, Public Liability law
