**About the Role**:
Our client is a govt. department seeking a **User Researcher** to plan, design, participate in, and facilitate user research and testing with a broad range of users to inform delivery and improvements across a range of digital platforms.

The aim is to deliver on a simpler, helpful, and more respectful and transparent digital experience.

**What your day will look like**:

- Develop and support the team to develop research and testing artefacts, including proposals, reports, personas and journey maps.
- Facilitate user research and testing interviews and discussions with users to gain critical information required to improve the digital user experience and validate designs with users.
- Synthesise insights and findings of user behaviours, needs and motivations to improve the digital platform
- Support the broader team in capability development in user research and usability testing

**What you'll need for success**:

- 2 years + experience in leading research and/or usability testing including various research methodology and mediums.
- Experience in testing varying degrees of fidelity prototypes to elicit behaviour and sentiments from users.
- Experience in using User-Centric Design methodology, processes, and techniques to inform digital solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed research plans including analysis and development of reports with short lead times.
- Agile experience within Government or similar larger organisations.
