The
**Skills and Jobs Centre Coordinator** is responsible for the day-to-day operation, management and continuous improvement of the Skills and Jobs Centre (SJC), including leading, motivating and inspiring a team, together with monitoring and reporting on key deliverables.

The Gordon SJC is a central information hub for students, employers and jobseekers that flexibly delivers employment readiness and careers services across Geelong and Wyndham, with the assistance of Victorian Government funding.

Services include:

- Career guidance and course information, as part of a holistic career development approach tailored to individual client needs
- Specialist career guidance to vulnerable and disadvantaged cohorts including referral to relevant wrap-around support services and programs
- Employment preparation support for current and potential students
- Workforce development support and advice services for local employers, including industry and community engagement
- Projects and initiatives aimed at upskilling and reskilling job seekers

**Skills & attributes for success in this role**
The role requires someone with high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong networks and partnerships with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of SJC services.
