About the Role
- Organise and coordinate patient appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services. Ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
- Manage workload appropriately by prioritising tasks and ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes.
- Perform reporting functions as appropriate, including bulk billing of patients according to treatment, item numbers and the Medicare schedule of benefits.
- Contribute to the strategies of the department, through the identification of new initiatives that enhance the performance of administrative services.
