**Position Summary**

The Plants Coordinator has responsibility for the leadership and development of supported team members and the achievement of production goals, coordinates daily nursery operations to provide high quality services and efficient practices in accordance with Brite Services’ vision and mission statement and in particular:

- Leads a work team.
- Ensures that we deliver in full and on time to our customers every time.
- Ensures production goals are met at the required level of quality.
- Maintains safety and quality standards.
- Supports employees to achieve their individual goals.
- Contributes to maintaining quality accreditation.

Acts as Brite Plants Operations Manager in the absence of the Plants Operations Manager.

Role responsibilities encompass tasks within these areas:

**Authority**

The CEO - Brite Services delegates appropriate and adequate authority to the Plants Operations Manager (Plants Coordinator deputies in the Plants Operations Manager absence) to:

- Manage and oversee Brite Plants’ business activities.
- Develop annual budget for GM-Social Enterprise, CEO, Finance and Administrations consideration.
- Ensure that Brite Plants operates within its respective budgets.
- Liaise with external companies and Government Bodies as a representative of Brite Services to create new business opportunities.

The Plants Operations Manager and Plant Coordinator will make decisions only within the limits endorsed by the GM-Social Enterprise in the following areas:

- Delivery of service in line with Brite’s QA, statutory and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with Government and industry groups to further business activities.
- Reporting on business activities to EO - Brite.
- Reporting requirements and meetings.
- Development of new business for Brite.
- Recording of stock movement and financial transactions.
- Other duties as directed.

**Position responsibilities - **Key Performance Indicators**

**Production**
- Meet daily with the Plants Manager to plan the day’s work.
- Use initiative and ingenuity to improve productivity and best practice to ensure that all jobs are completed on time and to budget.
- Actively seek out and advise the Plants Manager of any issues which may result in lost productivity, non-chargeable downtime or negatively impact on achieving tasks jobs and budget.
- Advise the Plants Manager immediately of any issues arising that may result in the business not meeting the customers’ specifications i.e., quality issues.
- Ensure that components are available and that the employees understand all steps prior to commencing a job.
- Ensure finished products are inspected in line with quality standards
- Provide employees with necessary supervision and support to enable them to achieve their objectives.

**Employment Support and Training**
- Communicate to the employees the steps involved in each job allocated to them and set the line up in the most efficient and productive manner with the resources available.
- Ensure that components are available and that the employees understand all steps prior to commencing a job.
- Implement and deliver training programs to ensure that employees are adequately skilled to undertake new work tasks.
- Develops, implements, monitors, and reviews strategies in collaboration with employees to help them identify and meet their employment and training goals
- Liaises with parents and carers as required.
- Administers first aid assistance when required (or direct to a qualified First Aider) in particular, assistance with epileptic seizures, minor cuts, and injuries.
- Advocates on behalf of employees on request
- Actively upholds, supports, and promotes the right of team members in the workplace.
- Provides support to employees when working off site.

**Accreditation and Quality Management**
- Work within Brite’s quality system, contractual arrangements, and legal requirements.
- Comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the quality system, regulations and organisational policies, quality procedures and working instructions applicable to job activities.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement through the completion of Continuous Improvement Reports.
- Oversee NIASA Compliance

**Business Development & Customer Relations**
- Ensure communication to customers is open and honest
- Ensure customers are notified of all out-of-stock items
- Develop further sales opportunities i.e., contract growing opportunities
- Provide accurate and detailed quotes for plant supply work to customers
- Meet with customers on occasion to discuss business opportunities
- Deliver plants to customers if required

**Contributing to Occupational Health and Safety processes**
