**About the role**

The Celebrations Manager is responsible for increasing event sales within the hospitality department with a focus on our key resort venues, available events spaces and other alike areas of the property. Working with key stakeholders you will redefine the strategic direction ensuring a wholistic approach to driving celebratory events with effective brand representation of The Star Sydney.

Responsibilities include:

- Development of business strategies focused on increasing revenue and market share across all local markets including local corporates, Gold Coast locals and any other alike leads looking to have their celebratory events at The Star Sydney
- Managing all event sales inbound and outbound within the Hospitality Portfolio including signature restaurants and bars
- Establishing and coordinating sales objectives, strategies and programs including celebratory and event packages
- Manage and lead the reservations team and assist with incoming enquiries
- Ownership of sales process and integration of venues using Delphi and Res Diary
- Executing and hosting regular property events with prospective clients, agencies and any other leads
- Liaising and building relationships with external providers to provide options for up selling packages such as: florists, theming and entertainment
- Analysing data and providing tracking and monthly reporting statistics reports on competitor sales activities

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in sales, events planning, marketing, and networking in a hospitality/gaming or related industry
- Ability to develop productive relationships with multiple key stakeholders, coupled with effective influencing and negotiating skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on attention to detail
- A strong industry network with business development skills
