**About this Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists within Lactalis for an experienced **HSE Systems, Reporting & Assurance Specialist **(can be based in any of our offices in Australia). This role represents a real opportunity to make a difference through taking ownership of continuous improvement initiatives and programs in a fast paced food production environment where safety and quality are paramount. This position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of the Lactalis Health and Safety Management System and Electronic Database system. You will also be responsible for preparing for relevant ISO accreditation and re-certification and supporting the development and implementation of HSE initiatives and programs.

This role acts a critical conduit between the national, regional and local leadership teams across both our industrial and corporate functions requiring excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate strategic goals into effective and relevant frontline outcomes. You will be a pragmatic thinker with the ability to generate and interpret reports and data to drive meaningful change, review and measure the effectiveness of controls. You will have a keen eye for risk and a collaborative and creative approach to mitigation.

**About you**:
We need a proactive person who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. To ensure success in the role, the successful applicant requires the below toolkit:

- Relevant HSE tertiary qualification and at least 5 years relevant HSE management systems work experience in in a similar size company
- Proven ability in interpreting legislation, regulatory standards, codes of practice, internationally accepted HSE standards including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Ability to effectively engage with blue collar employees and leadership
- Conversant with current OHS and Worksafe legislation
- Aware of environmental requirements and restraints
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
