We are seeking an Executive & Governance Support Officer to provide a high-level of support and guidance to the Group Board and sub-committees, the Sarah Family Council, and the Group Managing Director.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this role will ensure administrative compliance and serve as the governance officer for Sarah Group, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the Group’s governance function.

Key responsibilities of the role are to:

- Provide comprehensive administration support including preparation and distribution of board packs and reports, taking minutes, and recording and managing action items.
- Actively collaborate with the Board Chair, Board members, and the Group Managing Director to ensure board meetings are effectively facilitated and administered.
- Management of the board portal, Diligent, and ensure documents are stored appropriately and can be retrieved easily for future reference.
- Administer all governance frameworks including but not limited to the charter(s), terms of reference, delegations of authority, registers and policies.
- Identify opportunities for governance enhancements and implement improvements in operational effectiveness.
- Adhere to all legal and organisational obligations, maintaining the integrity of the Corporate Compliance Framework.
- Provide general administrative support to the Group Executive team, and the Brand and Communications team.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

**About You**

You will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Experience serving in a Company Secretary or Governance related role.
- Experience working in executive administration support.
- Strong organisational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities at once.
- Possess a sound understanding of the need for a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work autonomously, determine priorities, and anticipate the requirements of the Group Executive.
- Proactively approach issues by being solution focused.
- Experience working in a large family-owned business (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience working with Diligent, board portal (preferred but not mandatory).
