**About the Role**

We have a vacancy for a Specialist ENG Camera Operator to join our highly successful NBN News team on the Gold Coast. You will work closely with reporters, producers and editors to
gather content for News and other programming for both Online and
television platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join our News division with Northern NSW’s number 1 rating News Service, servicing loyal viewers 7 days per week with a one-hour News bulletin. Reporting into the Chief Camera Operator, this is a full time, 38 hour per week position. To succeed in this role, you will have the below:

- Proficient use of news broadcast cameras and editing skills on Harris Imagine VELOCITY
- Familiarity with Live Cross procedures and use of Dejero live Units
- Experience working in the News industry and working on live News bulletins
- Demonstrated communication skills - storytelling and written
- Attention to detail, timeliness, and planning of tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to anticipate roadblocks and accurately scope out length and difficulty of task/project
- Demonstrated flexibility where required
- Engages peers, supervisors, colleagues and members of the public in active, open and productive dialogue
- Skills to achieve positive, measurable results aligned with the department and wider business needs
- Share positive information and proactive in discussing solutions/raising ideas
- Support, develop and maintain an effective local team.

The successful applicant will:

- be required to work on a 24/7 rotating roster and work additional hours when required.
- be able to adapt to the frequently changing needs of news gathering operations
