We are looking for an Assistant Underwriter to join our team in Woolloongabba. Being new to the industry is no issue This is the perfect entry level role for someone with some great customer service, retail, and administration or business support experience.

**About the Role**

Reporting directly to the Commercial Lines Practice Leader, our Assistant Underwriter is responsible for processing of policy renewals for clients and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

This role provides administrative and service support to our Commercial Lines Practice Leader working with a great range of clients and assisting in providing the right protection for their business.

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will extend your skills across
- technical aspects of insurance underwriting (for those not sure what it is, it's the process insurers use to determine the risks of insuring a person, property or business).
- stakeholder management

You'll be required to maintain renewal registers, liaise with insurance brokers, draft terms for our Senior Underwriters and respond to client enquiries. You'll be provided with all the training required to forge an incredible career in a highly regarding and award winning business.

You have both a lot to give and a lot to learn and are keen to join a professional team that knows how to inspire each other every day.

You have great interpersonal and communication skills, great at time management and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. You could be fresh out of School, TAFE or Uni, had a previous career in administration, business support, retail or customer service and ready for a new challenge.

As part of the sales team, you will be the one of the faces of ProRisk, dealing with broker inquiries and answering initial underwriting queries via the phone. You will be well presented, punctual and have be willing to learn.
