**About the Centre/Service**

Armadale Early Learning Centre is a Community Managed, Sessional Kindergarten, running 3 & 4 year old Kindergarten Programs. Each group has a maximum of 22 children. We are located in the heart of Armadale at 3 Fulton St, Armadale, Victoria. We value our Community, respect, collaboration, harmony, uniqueness and a caring, nurturing and supportive environment. At the Armadale Early Learning Centre teachers and educators develop a play-based emergent curriculum to explore learning with children in areas of interest, recognise their sense of agency and nurture their lifelong curiosity for knowledge and understanding. We aim to develop and extend individual children socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Our Kindergarten programs offer children and their families a warm, safe and secure learning environment, with all children supported to engage and participate.

**Work Days of the Role**

5 days a week: Monday to Friday.

**Hours of Work of the Role**

8.00am - 2.45pm, or 9.45am - 4.30pm (33.75 hours per week)

**Description**

We are a 2 room **Community Kindergarten** located at the end of Fulton St in Armadale, backing onto our local park, Toorak Park. We have 2 x 4 year-old groups and 2 x 3 year-old groups. Our groups are NOT multi-age and have a maximum of 22 children in each group. We are managed by parent Committee.

We opening 2 exciting new part-time positions for a Diploma or Cert III educator to work at our Kindergarten 5 days a week. Educators will work across both our 4 year-old and 3 year-old groups.

You can choose from either a morning or afternoon session;

**8.00am - 2.45pm on Monday to Friday**. This includes planning time. (6.25 hours - Includes half an hour unpaid lunch break), or

**9.45am - 4.30pm on Monday to Friday**. This includes planning time. (6.25 hours - Includes half an hour unpaid lunch break)

There will be the opportunity for extra hours during the year, to cover other staff who may be away, or for School Readiness programs.

You will be working with our 4 year-old Possums group and our 3 year-old Koalas group. As a part of our fantastic and very experienced Wombats teams. These groups have a maximum of 22 children. This is a rare opportunity to join our team working 5 days a week at a sessional kindergarten at our kindergarten. The positions are part-time and ongoing for the right applicants.

**Qualifications**

Certificate III or Diploma qualified.
