Project Environmental Advisor

We are looking for a Project Environmental Advisor to use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to develop technically sound solutions to environmental problems. You will be involved in large-scale and exciting infrastructure projects to manage compliance with environmental policy, optimise the utilisation of resources and improve the quality of the surrounding environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans.
- Address problems and develop environmental solutions to prevent risk of harm or damage to the surrounding environment.
- Conduct research and technical audits on the environmental impact of projects, analyse data and perform quality control checks.
- Document and maintain plans, requirements, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports.
- Collaborate and manage specialist subcontractors - scientists, planners and other experts

**Requirements**:
You will be a motivated and proactive engineer with the right combination of energy and a commitment to learning, bring your perspective and skills to diverse projects, and have the ambition to design your own career path.

You will also have:

- A degree in Environmental Engineering, or similar.
- 3-7 years' experience as an environmental advisor/manager, infrastructure project experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a project environment, collaboratively with others.
- Familiarity with EPA Victoria guidelines, requirements along with quality assurance, documentation, environmental rules, regulations and best practice.
- Personal drive to create/build your career within the infrastructure sector.
