**About the Role**

As Governance Officer - Mayor and Councillors, you will work in a small and welcoming team providing high-level administrative support to the Mayor and Councillors.
With the assistance of your team, you will manage calendars, coordinate correspondence, provide administrative assistance to the Governance team, and contribute to the delivery of Council’s Pop-up program, Citizenship Ceremonies and other Civic events when required.
Some occasional after-hours work is required in this role. Training in Council systems will be provided.

You will be committed to providing outstanding customer service to all stakeholders and be able to prioritise and manage competing tasks and deadlines.
You will be self-motivated and willing to learn on the job.
Knowledge of the Local Government Act 2020 or relevant Local Government experience is highly regarded but not essential.
