**About the role**:
This pivotal role of Test Manager will report into the Delivery Manager, Testing and will be responsible for driving the:

- Development of a Projects test strategy inclusive of test types, approach, scope alignment, test delivery estimation, test schedule definition, test data strategy and roles & responsibilities.
- Development and enhancement of testing methods and tools required to support the program including, test planning, results capture, defect management, execution planning, test progress reporting and summary reports. This needs to accommodate program, Coles and 3rd party vendor needs.
- Accountable for the testing component and its success across multiple teams and domain areas
- Adherence and implementation of overall platform test strategy
- Review and input into formation of 3rd party SOW’s, and continuous review to ensure adherence
- Line management and mentoring of up to 8 test resources

Test Management
- Estimate and manage to budget allocated for testing, create and manage delivery plans for the testing component, ensure an ongoing process of simplification and streamlining
- Manage testing delivery across the program of works
- Streamline and deliver whilst managing risk and providing options
- Risk and issue management in the testing area
- Ability to identify options
- Proactive management of testing stream

Management
- Manage up to 8 direct reports
- Develop a capability to flex team based on project work, whilst ensuring budget is met
- Develop a team environment
- Ensure knowledge transfer across the team
- Develop and grow team members in testing practices

Leadership/Stakeholder Management
- Understands the agenda and needs of key relevant stakeholders and adapts working style to adapt to stakeholder expectations
- Establishes rapport and builds and maintains effective working relationships with senior leadership and cross functional teams
- Manage to resolution any testing related issues
- Develops mutual professional trust and confidence with stakeholder map
- Manages external stakeholders to successfully deliver on agreed strategies

Process Improvement and Optimisation
- Identify and implement changes that deliver improved Test execution over BAU levels

**Good things you’ll need**:

- At least 5 years’ experience in a test manager position covering all functional and non-functional test types.
- At least 3 years’ experience working with external vendors
- Working experience in implementing test automation framework
- Ability to communicate and drive improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage risk-based testing in a critical and highly available environment
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Proven experience in testing for critical systems
