The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Administration Officers (Medical Transcription) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Complete and maintain an efficient standard of general administration with specific reference to Medical Transcription
- Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators as set out in job Duty Statements
- Collate Medical Transcription Services (MTS) reference materials as required and in consultation with MTS Coordinator
- Adhere to systems and processes for the tracking and sending of patient correspondence to referring Clinicians and Practitioners
- Manage, sort and action daily incoming and outgoing correspondence for the specialist units
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hours negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $37.68 - $41.90 per hour or $74 722 - $83 097 per annum

Gold Coast Health has a centralised Medical Transcription Service comprised of highly experienced Medical Transcriptionists. The service provides a vital role in supporting clinical handover and patient safety by providing accurate and timely correspondence to referring clinicians.
