Field Service Specialist, Nsw

**UNIT FUNCTION**:
The Specialist will be the primary GCP representative at the concrete manufacturing plant and truck maintenance level. The Specialist will be required to interface frequently with plant management, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, and truck maintenance management and mechanics.

This position reports to the Commercial Manager SCC ANZ.

**DUTIES**:
**Maintenance and Repair**
- The technical work pertaining to admixture dispensing equipment and Verifi includes, but is not limited to, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, and emergency and service repair; review and analysis of system performance reports to determine problem areas and develop resolutions.
- Communicate and resolve problems with other Verifi team members
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues raised in a timely manner and ensure that satisfactory solutions are achieved for both the customer and the company.
- Preventative maintenance, calibration scheduling and compliance to service standards.
- Maintain and build close relationships with key accounts and ensure company products and services are meeting customer requirements.
- Needs to work closely with Verifi Account Manager and Business Analyst, plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer.

**Equipment Service Administration and Service Work**
- Possesses the ability to diagnose and determine requirements; solves mechanical tech problems, providing on-site assistance at customer locations.
- Participate in customer meeting as required to provide technical expertise by presenting and explaining technical reports, assisting in scoping and establishing guidelines for customer projects or new opportunities.
- Respond to customer requests for on-site assistance, and be able to assign job tasks to other supporting team.
- Track parts and incidental costs associated with each customer site and each customer truck
- Participate in product development programs for cost and performance improvement of existing products and the development and testinq of new products.
- Product knowledge - Keep abreast of changes and product development by liaising with Technical Services Dept, industry networking and by studyinq internally and externally published literature and reports.

**Reporting and Communication**
- Work closely with other units in the business, Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement/Logistics, Supply Planner, Customer Service and Dispensing.
- Complete written reports as required within a specified time.
- Participate and attend internal Sales team meetings as required
- Monitor market and advise management of changes in competition, product performance, current and emerging customer issues and new product/ technoloqical developments.

**EH&S and Compliance**
- Ensure all the activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards and company policy and procedures
- Enforce Safety Measures and be pro-active in identifying and reporting any safety hazards or issues to your immediate supervisor as soon as is practicably possible.
- Complete incident investigation for any safety or environmental related near miss or incident on both internal and external locations.
- Participate and assist with internal and external EH&S, quality or other compliance/ regulatory audits.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards, safety requirements and company policy and procedures

**Miscellaneous**
- To participate and represent the company at industry conferences, seminars as required from time to time.
- To participate in personal development training as deemed necessary by the company.
- Participate, Lead and/or Contribution to other tasks and projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certificate of degree level tertiary qualification in Business, Science, Engineering preferred
- Prior experience in readymix/ precast/ concrete industry or truck maintenance will be of a distinct advantage.
