**About Us**:
McDowall State School is a large primary school of approximately 1,000 students in the northern Brisbane Suburbs. McDowall SS implements the Australian Curriculum through high quality teaching and learning practices, as well as supporting wellbeing for learning and engagement to provide a positive environment for learning and impact. We provide a high quality inclusive education to enable every student to realise their full potential.
**About the Role**:
The Deputy Principal will be required to provide instructional leadership capability around the Australian Curriculum and support teachers to provide evidence informed pedagogies enabling every student to realise their full potential. The successful applicant will be required to have a skillset to lead a positive school culture working in with a team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
