MLC School is seeking a dynamic and passionate **Assistant Director of Sport** to join our vibrant sports department. This full-time, permanent role is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver a diverse, high-quality sports program for students from Pre-K to Year 12, in line with our mission to educate and inspire young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion.

**About the Role**

Working closely with the Director of Sport, you will:

- Oversee the daily operations of the school’s sports program, including carnivals, representative pathways, and facility management.
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and risk management for sporting activities and events.
- Lead and mentor sports department staff, coaches, and heads of programs.
- Foster a culture of lifelong fitness, personal excellence, and school pride.
- Represent MLC School at IGSA and IPSHA events, meetings, and competitions.
- Support marketing and promotional efforts to encourage student participation in sport.
- Attend and support Friday night, Saturday, and other weekend sporting events.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Tertiary qualifications in sports management, sports administration, education, or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an educational or sporting environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a thorough knowledge of school sport, including IPSHA and IGSSA.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to girls’ education and the values of MLC School and the Uniting Church.
- Flexibility to work across a range of hours, including weekends and evenings.

**Desirable**:Sports coaching qualifications, First Aid and CPR certification, and experience with Apple devices and Microsoft Office.
