About the Business Unit
The Consumer Affairs, Liquor, Gaming and Dispute Services group at the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) brings together the consumer protection, regulation, liquor and gaming and dispute resolution functions of DJCS to:

- regulate consumer affairs and residential tenancies
- provide dispute resolution services to the community
- provide policy advice on liquor and gambling, consumer protection and other legislation we administer.

The Funded Services Branch is a part of the consumer affairs portfolio within the department and sits within the Information and Corporate Services team. It manages a range of programs that are delivered to vulnerable Victorian's including the Financial Counselling Program and the Tenancy and Consumer Programs. Funded Services administers these through funding agreements with approximately 30 community agencies. The team also oversees the Victorian Property Fund grants program, which provides property related grants such as housing assistance for low income or disadvantaged Victorians, environmentally sustainable housing and community education, advice or information relating to property issues.
Funded Services has committed to conducting three reviews over the next two years within its remit of funded programs. This includes a review of the service that provides legal support to vulnerable consumers involved in domestic building disputes, the tenancy program and the financial counselling program.

About the Role
Working with the General Manager, the Manager, Program Evaluation will oversee reviews of Consumer Affairs Victoria grant programs across the renting, financial counselling and domestic building sectors. The reviews will include program evaluation activities and service model redesign, informed by stakeholder and user consultations, to develop new service models.

About you
- Experience in conducting evaluations and reviews of programs and processes.
- Experience in research, and the collection, interpretation, presentation, and communication of quantitative and qualitative data.
- A sound understanding of the community programs delivered in Victoria by the not-for-profit sector is desirable.

Qualifications/Requirements
- A qualification in a related field is highly desirable.
- As the role may require travel, a current Victorian Driver Licence is mandatory.
