**The opportunity**

We are looking for a junior **Designer/Drafter**to join our current group of passionate engineers, designers and project managers. This role will be **Newcastle**based.

**Key responsibilities**

- Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models
- Collaborate with the design engineers to deliver concept and detailed design models and drawings
- Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of models and drawings.
- Maintaining design templates and drawing standards

**About you**
You’ll be seeking fulfilment through autonomy, career flexibility, and working for a business that provides purpose and relevance in what you do. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes, you’ll have experience working in a consulting environment, delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office team.

**_Qualifications _**

- Enrolled in or have completed a relevant TAFE qualification: Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or Certificate IV/Diploma in Civil Construction Design

**_Skills and experience _**

- Experience with CAD software
- Familiarity with technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team

**_Mindset and behaviours _**

- Safety‑first, risk‑based approach to all design delivery
- Commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems
- Enthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members

**_Desirable _**

- Interest or experience in water and wastewater treatment or pipeline design
