**In this role you will contribute by assessing, analysing and reporting on operational performance, as well as engaging with the business to interpret the analysis and to develop early corrective actions.

The primary accountabilities of the Principal Adviser include:

- Contribute to the implementation of the QCS Operational Performance Review Framework and mechanisms collecting, analysing and reporting performance outcomes to support senior management decision making particularly in relation to corporate governance accountabilities and non-financial performance.
- Provide high level quality and expert advice and recommendations to the Director, OPDARG on diverse and complex range of issues relevant to performance management and monitoring.
- Provide strategic analysis of variations and trends in organisational performance and advice regarding significant variations from targets.
- Prepare reports, submissions, briefs and other correspondence in relation to the performance outputs and outcomes in the Directorate.
- Work with senior managers to align organisational strategies to performance and improve performance measurement, evaluation and reporting practices in QCS.
- Contribute to the development of high-level corporate reporting documents such as Service Delivery Statements, Annual Report and other Output Reports through the provision of performance reports and information.
- Undertake liaison, consultation, discussion and negotiation with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations in order to achieve strategic and
operational outcomes The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as required outside of these primary accountabilities.
