**Purpose of the Role**

The Therapy Assistant supports NDIS participants to achieve their therapy goals through practical, hands-on activities under the supervision of Allied Health professionals. This role plays a vital part in helping participants build independence, confidence, and capacity in their everyday lives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver therapy programs as developed by Allied Health professionals (e.g., OT, SP, Behaviour Practitioners).
- Support participants to build skills in communication, daily routines, independence, and mobility.
- Record and report session outcomes and progress to the supervising clinician.
- Prepare and maintain therapy materials and session documentation.
- Work across various environments including homes, schools, offices, and community spaces.
- Uphold participant rights, safety, and dignity in all interactions.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and professional supervision.

**Essential Criteria**
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, Disability, or Individual Support (or currently studying).
- Experience supporting people with disability or complex needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow structured therapy plans and work independently.
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (or valid exemption).

**Desirable**
- Experience working under the guidance of Allied Health professionals.
- Understanding of NDIS standards and documentation requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
