We’re seeking Engagement Officers to join the team focused on putting people at the centre of everything we do, ensuring we deliver better outcomes for all South Australians.

We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city’s public transport network.

**The Opportunity**
The Engagement Officer supports community and stakeholder engagement for DIT projects, creating and implementing tailored engagement plans that align with DIT goals. They craft high-quality public materials, assess engagement risks, and collaborate with team members. Skilled in Microsoft and online tools, they manage multiple projects, interpret community feedback, and present insights to support project outcomes effectively.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- **Customer-Focused Engagement -** Ability to professionally interact with a broad range of community members and stakeholders and work to identify suitable solutions, using different communication techniques.
- **Skilled Communicator -** Well-developed communication skills, verbal and written, that deliver clear and concise content and appropriate to the audience.
- **Analytical and Research Skills -** Ability to analyse and report on data collected as part of engagement process, presenting it effectively.
- **Collaborative Team Player** - Contributes to a cohesive, supportive and positive team environment, displaying diplomacy and discretion when working on sensitive matters.

**Qualifications/Experience**
IAP2 qualifications or formal relevant qualifications and/or experience in stakeholder engagement on infrastructure, asset and/or transport related projects, are desirable.

**Special Conditions**
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, will be required.

**Tenure of Vacancy**
Multiple opportunities - temporary appointment up to 2 years.

**Remuneration**
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 per annum + superannuation
