**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
Support the Director to build and maintain an effective team with complementary skills to deliver high quality, strategic, accurate, and responsive advice and support relating to the whole of government arrangements and procurement activities.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Support the Director to build and maintain an effective team with complementary skills to deliver high-quality, strategic, accurate, and responsive advice and support relating to the whole of government arrangements and procurement activities.
- Contribute positively to the workplace with a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and excellent customer service.
- Produce high-quality documentation across the procurement and contract management lifecycle and report information as required. This may include briefing material, communication artefacts, contract management plans, deeds of variation, and agendas and minutes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (Government directorates/agencies, Government Solicitor, industry bodies, suppliers, etc.) to build strong working relationships to achieve successful business outcomes.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Have a high degree of emotional intelligence and will be able to adjust your communication style for different audiences.
- In addition to procurement and contract management skills, we are looking to develop Branch skills across a range of general areas, such as strategic and analytical thinking, leadership and staff development, project management, communication, negotiation, written, and presentation skills.
- High-level knowledge of procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks, with an understanding of the Government procurement legislation and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting procurement and contract management activities, ideally in a government context, from facilitating the end-to-end procurement process to undertaking contract management activities.
- Has the ability to understand the diverse requirements of different stakeholder groups as well as coordinating and lead stakeholder engagement activities.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality written material such as executive briefs, procurement and contract artefacts, guidance documentation, research findings, and stakeholder communications.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to find, interpret, and consolidate multiple data sources across different jurisdictions to support contract management activities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage, including a Certificate IV Advanced Diploma of Government (Procurement & Contracting).
